Tools

Free SEO tools we use on our own campaigns

Most of these started as internal shortcuts. We tidied them up, put them on a page, and left the roof off: no account, no email wall, no "3 free checks per month". Pick one and use it.

Authority, gaps, prospects and link risk.

On-page and technical

Links, alt text, markup and snippets.

Content and outreach

What a competitor covers, and the email that follows.

Local SEO

Directories, in the order worth doing.

Some of these numbers are sampled

Backlink data comes from a free open index. It is good enough to compare two sites or find a gap, but it is not a census of the web. Three things follow from that:

  • A domain missing from a result does not mean the link isn't there.
  • You get linking domains, not individual links. No anchors, no follow status.
  • DR comes from Ahrefs. The DA score comes from BacklinkMCP's free index, so it is not Moz DA and won't match it.

What we left out

Better eleven tools that work than fifteen where four quietly guess.

  • Keyword gap analysis. It needs paid rank tracking to say anything true.
  • Anchor text analysis. No free index gives us anchors.
  • Link velocity. That needs history we haven't collected yet.

If we build any of them later, we'll say what powers the data. Until then they stay off the page.
